Zab's is a Los Angeles based producer of hot sauces and other condiments using the rare Datil Pepper. The peppers have been a culinary staple in St. Augustine, FL for 200+ years where they are beloved for their unique "slow burn" and naturally sweet heat.
Founded by three Los Angeles natives, Zab's was created out of a curiosity, and now a passion for the Datil Pepper. The peppers are listed on the "Slow Food International" database of endangered heritage foods, and Zab's mission is to preserve the peppers by introducing them to more plates across the country, giving local farmers added motivation to continue growing them.
